Mark A. Ferm, CPA

Strategic transactions are a central focus of Mark’s work at Tronconi Segarra & Associates. As a Partner and Practice Area Leader of the firm’s Consulting Division, he advises business owners, executives, shareholders, and private equity sponsors on complex transactions. His work includes quality of earnings assessments, transaction valuation and structure, and coordination with team members on tax plannning  for acquisitions. On the sell-side, he helps businesses go to market through research, identification of potential buyers, development of marketing materials, and sale process planning. His transaction experience includes negotiating terms that increased a client’s proceeds by $20 million and identifying diligence issues that prevented another client from overpaying for an acquisition by nearly $80 million. 

Mark began his professional career in 1994 at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, and joined Tronconi Segarra & Associates in 2001, where he has held roles including Manager, Senior Manager, and Principal. He also serves on the firm’s Executive Leadership Team and as the current Practice Area Leader for its Consulting Division.  

Originally from Lancaster, New York, Mark enjoys golf, soccer, fitness, and spending time with his family. His own experience playing on a successful college soccer team, later inducted into Alfred University’s Sports Hall of Fame, helped shape his appreciation for hard work, accountability, and working toward shared goals.
