With a career in sales tax spanning nearly five decades, David provides clients with specialized sales and use tax support as part of the State and Local Tax Department at Tronconi Segarra & Associates. His work includes sales tax audit representation, nexus reviews, reverse audits, multistate research and analysis, voluntary disclosures, and sales and use tax compliance. He serves clients across a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, construction, retail, technology, and information services.
Before joining Tronconi Segarra & Associates in 2016, David spent 39 years with the New York State Department of Taxation & Finance. He began as a sales tax auditor and advanced to District Audit Manager for the Rochester District Office, where he supervised sales tax audit staff and managed an office of 85 professionals. That experience informs his work with clients today, including representing them during sales tax audits and filing refund claims for overpaid sales taxes.
Originally from East Irondequoit, David has lived in the Town of Greece for 40 years. He enjoys golf and taking long walks along Lake Ontario. He and his wife, Deborah, have two sons, Josh and Jason.
