Stephan D. Cwynar, CPA

Stephan focuses on state and local income tax matters, serving as a resource within Tronconi Segarra & Associates for questions involving income tax nexus. His client work spans manufacturing, construction and contracting, rental real estate, retail, and health care, with a growing focus on serving health care providers. As a Tax Principal, he is also a member of the firm’s state and local income tax team. 

Since joining Tronconi Segarra & Associates at the start of his professional career in 2011, Stephan has continued to expand his knowledge across different areas of the profession. In addition to his client responsibilities, he coordinates continuing professional education for the Tax Department and is preparing to lead the department’s artificial intelligence initiative. His approach emphasizes timely, efficient service while looking for creative ways to address client needs. 

Born in Buffalo and raised in Eden, Stephan enjoys baseball, music, horror movies, and traveling with his family. He coaches his sons’ travel baseball team and is also a stadium chaser. Stephan and his wife, Andrea, have twin sons, Brayden and Carson.
